The
development team will soon begin accepting reservations
on the luxurious, oceanfront cabana properties in
Ginn sur Mer. These will be the very first residential
units to be sold on the island. Up until now, they
were only offering residential lots for future to-be-built
oceanfront houses.
The
location of these cabana units will be at the northwest
section of the community next to Old Bahama Bay,
a resort which Ginn recently acquired. In the attached
map below, the cabana homes will be located at the
top left corner of the map, just to the right of
the marina area. They will be situated on some of
the nicest beaches in the entire Ginn community.

There
will be one-, two- and three-bedroom cabana units
available, most probably designed with a Key West
or Bahamian charm and feel.
Prices
have not yet been released. Estimates at this time
are that one-bedroom units might start in the low
$800,000's. These condominium units will be eligible
for the hotel's rental program, and because of their
unique direct oceanfront location, they will likely
command a very high rate.
The
cabana units will be about 2.5 miles from the main
hotel, where you will find the resort's main restaurants,
spa and the Caribbean's largest casino. With water
taxis, electric cars and golf carts readily available,
owners will have convenient access to all the action
combined with the privacy of their own oceanfront
home.
This
is all the information available at the moment.
There is a scheduled meeting on April 30, 2007 at
which time additional details will be presented.
Then the development team will begin taking reservation
on May 1, 2007 for the priority selection event
later this year. It is expected that the reservation
deposit will be a fully refundable $2,500. This
deposit will put interested parties on the Ginn
sur Mer priority list and give them a possible option
to purchase.
Obviously,
there will be a lot more information coming in the
months ahead, but typically units at Ginn projects
are reserved very, very quickly. However, waiting
for ALL of the information to make a decision to
reserve a unit is tantamount to a decision to pass,
as these units will likely appreciate rapidly as
they are swallowed up by loyal Ginn followers/investors.
